I have always been attracted to architecture. The Scientist in me loves the use of compression/tension, gravity, base, mathematical elegance, while the Artist in me loves the culminating marriage between the aesthetic presentation and the science that goes into structures. I picked up photography as an official hobby a little over two years go, and even though constructions are a passion of mine, I kept mainly to inanimate objects because my early architecural photographs were flat out awkward and plain; I didn't trust myself enough to just let loose and present to the world what I saw, what made this edifice so inviting. The Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava (the Unofficial Site is also great), has intriguing designs, and when I discovered his commission for the Milwaukee Art Museum, I fell in love and found my inspiration for architectural photography. I found myself so taken with his imagination as I explored the complex, I felt myself just let go.... It helped me find my own true meaning of photography which I believe was my greatest jumpstart for a certain photographical and presentational core that has carried over into my works now. So here is the piece that changed my direction. I give you "Calatrava", previously "Under the Wings."

Hello, all. I don't know what to say here, though I will be somewhat boastful, and ask you to please check out my gallery. You just might find something you like! Still, I will not post a link- as I will assure you, it's completely voluntary to look at it

I'm glad you do - I don't give it the justice it deserves, but I don't think many people could. If you ever have an opportunity to see it, I'd recommend it.
